National Telecomunication Museum

160 year Sri Lankan Telecommunication History can be seen. This Museum is located in the old Satellite Earth Station of Sri Lanka which is just 34 km away from Colombo ( the capital of Sri Lanka). Nice place to spend the time in the country side environment. You can climb to the top of the old Satellite Antenna also.

Weragala Purana Gallen Rajamaha Viharaya

This is a Buddhist temple which has a calm and quiet environment. It has several caves even the viharage is also in 9ne of them. There is a rock which has a Buddha statue on top of it. Climbing this is a like a mini hike. Elder people find it a little difficult to climb this. However the environment here is calm and the path is through a forest. Hence the people who visit here has a responsibility to help to keep it that way. Please leave only your footprints there.

Raigam Tea Factory

Kumari Ella Falls

Kumari Ella Falls is a 4m (13 ft) waterfall located in Puwakpitiya, Avissawella, about an hour and a half from Colombo. At the bottom of this small cascade is a deep plunge pool that is extremely dangerous to swim in. Kumari Ella is named after Kumari, the daughter of King Rajasinghe I of Sitawaka (who reigned from the mid to late 1500s) who drowned there.

Labugama – Kalatuwawa Forest Reserve
